Michael Youngman is an HVAC and Maintenance professional with over 30 years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial and industrial HVAC systems. His background includes supervising technical teams, improving safety performance, and increasing equipment reliability across complex, mission-critical environments.
Throughout his career, he has supported hospitals, data centers, industrial plants, large commercial facilities, and Department of Defense and DARPA contractors—settings where uptime, safety, and documentation are critical. Through structured troubleshooting, disciplined preventive maintenance programs, and root cause analysis, he has reduced unplanned HVAC downtime by 30–50% and repeat equipment failures by more than 40% across multiple facilities.
Michael is frequently brought in to resolve chronic equipment issues that have been “repaired” multiple times without addressing the underlying cause. By implementing standardized diagnostics—verifying airflow, electrical load, controls logic, and operating conditions before part replacement—he has reduced callback rates by 35–45%, extended equipment life, and lowered unnecessary parts and labor costs.
As a supervisor, Michael leads from the field, working alongside technicians to model proper lockout/tagout, PPE use, documentation, and clean work practices. This hands-on leadership style has resulted in zero recordable safety incidents over multi-year periods, consistent 100% lockout/tagout compliance, and measurable reductions in near-miss events.
A defining principle of Michael’s leadership is his belief that technicians should be technicians—not salespeople. He does not support commission-based pay structures for technicians, as they often incentivize unnecessary repairs and erode trust. Instead, he emphasizes accuracy, ethics, and technical excellence, ensuring that recommendations are based on verified conditions and documented findings rather than sales pressure.
Equally important to Michael is how customers are treated. He believes every home and facility should be respected as if it were his own, with clean work practices, clear communication, and honest recommendations. He takes pride in building a culture where customers are treated like family—not just transactions—earning long-term trust through consistency, professionalism, and care.
